I am honored to address you as the President of the Nepal Pashmina Industries Association. Reflecting on our journey through the luxury textile sector, it has been both challenging and rewarding. Your unwavering support and trust have been pivotal in our progress.

At the Nepal Pashmina Industries Association, we are dedicated to preserving the rich heritage of Nepalese craftsmanship while embracing innovation and sustainability. Our vision is to lead the pashmina industry by safeguarding the authenticity, craftsmanship, and cultural legacy of Nepali pashmina, driving sustainable and inclusive economic growth. To this end, our mission is to uphold the highest quality standards, promote sustainable practices, advocate for the interests of our members, and enhance the global competitiveness of Nepalese pashmina products. We are committed to delivering products that reflect the artistry and dedication of our artisans and make a positive impact on both the environment and the communities we serve.

As President, my vision extends beyond just preserving our rich tradition; I aim to fully unlock the potential of Nepal’s high-altitude regions to produce not only the highest quality cashmere but also other fibers such as yak and wool. For generations, farmers in these regions have raised cashmere goats, yet they remain among the most economically challenged communities in the world. My goal is to elevate their farming practices to a commercial level that significantly benefits both the Nepalese cashmere industry and the country’s economy as a whole.

In pursuit of this vision, we have a “Fiber to Fashion” movement, which focuses on transforming raw fibers into high-value fashion products. This initiative is designed to create a sustainable and profitable future for our farmers, artisans, and the entire industry.

As we look towards the future, we remain focused on improving the quality of our pashmina products and expanding into new markets. We are excited about the opportunities that lie ahead and look forward to continuing this journey with you.
